with others described as losing more. So - 2000-3000 dead fighters in Gaza as of two weeks ago.
The Guardian is reporting the IDF says 1-2K as of today. Someone is getting something wrong.
My expectation from following the reportage out of Israel would be in the 4-5K range
4/5K would put the combatant to civilian ratio at roughly 1:2, which is still a terrible human toll but also within the range of "non-war crime horrors of war"
Am I doing something wrong? I'm having a hard time figuring out how you arrived at 1:2 with your casualty numbers. I get 1 : 2.8 - 3.5
With at least 14,854 dead in Gaza as of last reporting on the 22nd the ratio would be roughly around 1:3 (2.97 - 3.6) would it not?
5K would be roughly 1:2 (~5k fighters-~10K civilians). Didn't do the math on 4 but 4:11 is between 1:2-1:3 (since 4/12 would be 1/3)
