This is flatly wrong as a legal matter. A chain of citations begins in my reply here:

It is not corrupt to take an action that aligns with the interest of a person who gives you a gift, unless the official action was in direct response to that gift--a bribe. Terms matter. Accuracy and fairness matters. Regardless of what social media wants.
I mean the thing is nobody should be expecting great work out of interns. The reason they're interns is because the primary goal of their work is to train them, not to benefit you.
What broke me was seeing a CEO I really respected who talked a lot about the community and how much he loves giving back say "I get better work out of AI than I do out of interns" because I know for a fact that there are interns in that building right now and you just slagged them off for nothing

Judge Sessions: The court agrees that Mapp v. Reno is the controlling standard. The court finds that Rümeysa Öztürk has sufficiently established all 3 factors: *very* substantial First Amendment claim. We asked govt 3 wks ago to introduce any evidence apart from op-ed! "There is no evidence here."
