A ★★★★ review of The American (2010)
George Clooney shares his good taste for coffee with me... and his birthday (today). I'd like to grasp the occasion to highlight one of my favourite Clooney movies. Clooney is so well casted for this role. Love the movie from start to finish. RIP to his co-actor, the Belgian Johan Leysen (1950, Hasselt - 2023, Gent) A cool and retro Euro-espionage thriller that's written, acted and directed as if it were still 1974. Unfortunately reviews weren't all that enthousiast. Perhaps I can understand. But it's still Corbijn and Clooney, see what I mean?
