- One of eleven Alabonia geoffrella seen on a morning walk around local woodland in North Hampshire today. The second commonest moth after Speckled Yellow(20) amongst 55 of 11, which also included Drab Looper(3). #TeamMoth

- Today was full of weevils & leafhoppers but the most amazing & surprising creatures were these bagworms, Luffia lapidella. First I saw 3, then I realised there were at least 20, probably a lot more, all feeding on lichen on the undersides of these railings by the River Ely. #TeamMoth

- I have had some Spindle trees earmarked since the winter and today I found, as I had hoped, a few Spindle Ermine caterpillars on them. Not pretty, but interesting. #teammoth.

- Last check disturbed an Angle Shades and a Diamond Back Moth from the trap areas. Hornet Queen drinking from the pond and nearby dead nettles and ferns had a few Psychoides filicivora round them, with a probable Phyllonorycter nicellii potted which is a NFG. Pheromones out just in case 🤞🏻 #teammoth

- A nice bit of lepidopteran interest at Footherly this morning: male Adela reaumurella and a Winter Moth (favourite food of baby Blue Tits) caterpillar, found between two Elm leaves. #teammoth
