- Here’s a glimpse of the great foyer at the Royal Palace in Abu Dhabi this morning. To call it opulent is an understatement. These excesses only remind me of the suffering and starvation of children around the world that is in our power to end, but for egotists and billionaires.
- I’m drinking my afternoon coffee and this feral cat, completely wild, comes up and sits looking at me. If I stand up, she’ll run away.
- This species of cactus flower blooms and dies in a single night. It always leaves one feeling privileged to have observed. Not only for its intrinsic beauty, but for the reminder that life continues to unfold much nearer to us than the daily chaos of politics. Notice it!
