- It's interesting how both French and English will introduce words from the other language, but doing so has a very different valence? I was talking to a French friend, asking why they're called "Le French Tacos" in France, not something like "Les tacos francaises." He said English sounded cooler.
- Confession: I don't really understand the appeal of Hannah Arendt. I've read several of her books and while she writes well, she seems firmly in the genre of essayists whose major theme is that the essayist is very smart. And often she makes these sweeping claims about society/people w/out evidence?
