I don't understand. Are people still wearing masks now?

Masks were required for over a year during the pandemic. Now, many in Tokyo wear them year round due to pollen and allergies. I’d rather stay in during allergy season. It's a tough environment, and honestly, I don't want to go out either, except for work, during allergy season😆

Incidentally, many people here in Taipei still wear masks, but when I ask they say it's because they're afraid of catching a cold or flu. And some women tell me they wear a mask on days they don't feel like wearing makeup.
