- Sunset tonight at Alyangula, Groote Eylandt, Gulf of Carpentaria - after a day talking about MJD with Anindilyakwa people
- An excellent article about Machado-Joseph Disease (MJD) on Groote Eylandt. A terrible disease affecting Anindilyakwa (and some Gumatj clans in eastern Arnhem Land) - but glimmers of hope. If only there were more... Saw Daniel and his carer a few days ago, inspirational.
- I get the impression this large bird is assessing my edibility....
- Spending a few days at Groote Eylandt Lodge at Alyangula. Fortunately lots to talk about with Anindilyakwa people so no time to swim…
- Another sad loss, Mr Yunupingu died while we were in Darwin for the Machado-Joseph disease (MJD) meeting. A great cultural leader. MJD runs in his clan too. There's more to be said after a proper mourning period. (Images and names approved by his family)
