- it's so refreshing having someone running for mayor who talks about the connection between high housing costs, and high costs for other goods - and most importantly brings and supports solutions to address it
- It’s affordable housing week! Katie Wilson answers the burning question on everyone’s mind: How is the housing crisis the hidden reason why your slice of pizza costs $8? WilsonForSeattle.com
- This is an *excellent* video and you should watch the entire thing from Seattle's next mayor.

- For @theurbanist.org I wrote about why lowering the City's ethical standards to allow elected officials' self-dealing is a bad idea. The fact that that sentence even needs to be written says something about the moment we're in.
- Fantastic piece Katie!
- Really excellent stuff here from @wilsonforseattle.bsky.social about the bad proposal to loosen ethical standards for Seattle elected officials

- oh hey we're not going to get the tourist boom we thought we would with the world cup, either. we could have spent the last decade planning and building a resilient city - towards downturns, climate, inflation... and basically did... nothing. huge missed opportunities from visionless mayors.
- The April budget forecast is out and it’s not pretty. “Seattle is predicted to bring in $240 million less in revenue over the next two years than previously thought" and we're at risk of a recession. 🧵 www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news...
- 💯 Harrell chose inaction instead of leadership. He’s got to go.
- This is welcome news, but the time to start developing progressive tax options into shovel-ready legislation was two years ago when the Revenue Stabilization Workgroup was convening. Instead, Harrell and the Chamber undermined that work. www.thestranger.com/news/2023/06...
- If you live in Seattle, are 18+, and are a citizen or have a green card, the city will provide four $25 vouchers for you to donate to any eligible candidate at zero cost to you. Please consider donating to Katie Wilson for Mayor! www.seattle.gov/democracyvou...

- You probably figured this already but I’m endorsing @wilsonforseattle.bsky.social for mayor.
- 5,200 daily riders on the RapidRide G in February means that total ridership on all bus routes serving the corridor - which all now serve slightly different destinations - is up 133%. Route upgrades and frequency improvements prompted nearly 5,000 new transit trips every day.
- Thanks to Sue Shaw for organizing a gathering of residents at Horizon House to talk about the mayor’s race and the issues facing Seattle! If you’re up on First Hill on a Monday check out their Monday Market thrift shop, open to the public from 11am to 3pm!

- Great article. Bad headline. Fixed it: "That isn't sitting right with one out-of-touch councilmember." As the article itself notes: "Polling has consistently shown the majority of Seattleites support more density, even when it’s in their neighborhood." www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news...
