- Occam's razor; the simplest answer is the most obvious here. It looks to me like they want to duplicate Russia's oligarchy in the U.S. by keeping the majority of us lower/middle class Americans from obtaining any sort of generational wealth.
- Estate taxes reduce concentration of wealth, which is bad for economies. There should be an estate (inheritance) tax and a wealth tax, and a truly progressive income tax -- no loopholes or write-offs.
