- Whitney appears to be describing a system unraveling from all sides. Structural shift, asset bubble, recession, no easing, rising delinquencies, and now fiscal tightening. Yields are screaming the house is on fire, and everyone’s pretending it’s sunshine.
- "No Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under [the United States], shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State." -Article I, Section 9 of the U.S. Constitution
- MAGA keeps claiming there’s no difference between Trump’s Qatar plane and the Statue of Liberty. There is. Congress approved the statue, its site, and pedestal. It was a gift to the U.S., not to a sitting president, with full legislative oversight every step of the way.
- George Washington warned that political parties would divide the nation, breed corruption, and invite foreign influence (like $400m 'free' planes). And now we're watching it happen live on National TV.
- Last week, my child was hospitalized for a life-saving emergency surgery, needing multiple blood transfusions just to make that possible. Hormone treatment could have stopped it before it got to that point, but it’s banned for minors, no exceptions. People need to understand the cost of these laws.
- The CBO says the GOP’s reconciliation package would strip health insurance from 8.6 million Americans.
- Trump administration weighing suspension of habeas corpus. Without it, a person can be jailed without trial indefinitely for no reason. A practice very common in dictatorships.
