Don’t let the fascists monopolize patriotism. Find grounding in the dissidents of past generations—the abolitionists, the suffragists, the labor movement, the Black Power movement, the Civil Rights movement, the indigenous rights movement, antiwar movements, etc. We stand on their shoulders.

Reformers made America great. Every generation, every victory over the forces of stagnation and repression, they built this country.
