- ICYMI: Sanders et al HELP committee minority report: "Trump's War on Science." Detailed yet concise. 👉🏻Defunding research 👉🏻Silencing scientists 👉🏻Sowing chaos 👉🏻Spreading misinformation Let your representatives know this is killing NIH, to say nothing of NSF www.sanders.senate.gov/wp-content/u...
- Yesterday, the NIH R35 “Outstanding Investigator” grant to fund scientists in my lab studying antibiotic resistance was terminated for reasons not related to the content of the science, or any actions taken by me or members of my lab

- What's the consensus on Arby's? It's my favorite chain by far, but before getting on Bluesky I don't think I've ever heard anyone bring it up. Beef N cheddar (that onion roll adds so much) and curly fries with horsey sauce clears any other fast food combo.
- Shake and curly fries makes Breezewood (PA turnpike) bearable

- Yes!! (The indirect cost calculation is not quite right tho)
- agree, and it's important we help everyone w/this messaging. $400K direct + 59% IDC = 400x1.59 = $636K. University keeps $236K at most. But you probably also have tuition budgeted, which is IDC-exempt, so let's say IDC = $155k. Realized overhead rate = 155/400 = 38.75%, low for R&D intensive work!
