Pretty much the usual, except silly systemd not telling you what's wrong and expecting you to run a command to diagnose the issue... on a system that isn't booting

whoopsies, kernel args?
not that i take fault in people pursuing realism in digital media, but as realism becomes more real & infallible (speaking globally: computer graphics, sampled instruments, voice synthesis, "intelligence"), it's the impressionistic and blatantly artificial that speaks more to me as an artist
I've definitely been loving games with more stylised art a lot lately!

Thank you for interacting with the community the way you have while being a community manager! It's sad to have you both do other things now, but I do think you were both the best out of any other game company I've seen during this time.
Wish you the best with what you will do next!

That's only the case for the follower count, not really a privacy concern.
Brief update on our ongoing efforts to allow users to specify consent (or not) for AI training: 🧵

Yup, absolutely!
And it shouldn't be changed like that, it'd be a convoluted workaround to something that only non-malicious scrapers would even adhere to. There is nothing stopping scrapers and bots from appearing like normal people, and that's not something that can be fixed completely.
It'll always be a complicated solution that will not fully stop anything, and will negatively impact the experience of everyone.
Besides, the only way to completely "solve" the issue is to not let people own their devices and everything else, which is exactly what bluesky is made to combat!

Not happening, remember you can see posts without even logging in.
If people can see your posts like that, anyone and anything can.
Secondly, if you give people raw data, you cannot control what is done with that data.
At most you can use policies and laws, but more cannot and should not be done.

They scrape anything that is public, or even things that are only accessible to a few people. Although not all scraping is bad, the problem lies in what is done with the collected data (although doing it to the point it ruins platform performance is bad too).
SteamDB for example, is also done with tons of scraping of data, but it's done with community interests in mind for actual useful data.
Thing is, this data really shouldn't be allowed to be used in training data, although this is definitely not the platform's fault.

Yup! You can simply click the "change handle" button, click the button to add a custom domain, and then set a TXT record in your domain's DNS to to what it tells you.

Huh interesting, isn't that a fairly common setup though?

Niceee! This stuff both intrigues me to do kernel work, but at the same time so so scared of making mistakes :3
