Several decades in and still trying to figure out this "life" thing.
I live in Ontario, Canada and work in the food industry as a professional nerd. I dabble in painting and knit stuff. Owned by a bunch of pets.
- I've started to reconnect a bit with someone i haven't known since I was in university. This person just seems like they're more of an adult than I am. I know for a fact that I am older, but this does not factor in. Does this happen to other people?
- The realities of being a cat-parent include lots of paper towels. A silly impulse purchase bought for laughs that has ridiculously, actually become helpful.
- The eyes that insist there is nothing I could be doing at this desk more important than continuing to pet this dog for, oh, say, another couple of hours or so.
- Now I'm wondering about blues and purples. ismy.blue

- This is beautiful. Thank you for sharing!
- Just sharing this more widely because people deserve to see more Enzo.
- A buoying thought for the day that makes me breathe a little more freely. Gently stolen from a friend on the book of the face. I hope this helps to loosen that band around your chest, too. At least for a bit.

- Enzo's just a little guy who looks snuggly but it's a lie

- I've started making my own lists that I can turn into columns with deck.blue. But that's all I've got! I'm still learning, too
- Yesterday, I had a woman firmly hold the back of my head while a man fitted a Clockwork Orange-style device in place to hold my eye open. He then shot a laser into the depths of my eye. Today, I can see the debris from those shots floating into my vision. Modern medicine is deeply weird. #YAGLaser
- Feels like a day for toebeans.
- My mother died five years ago and it's only today that I've been able to go through her jewellery and sort through everything. Grief is still around in hidden, shadowy places, ready to claw at me when I least expect it. #grief
- But I don't hate it. I almost welcome grief sometimes when it pops up because it means that I still feel that love, and those I've lost are still with me in that way. It's true that you never get over the death of a loved one - you make them part of your life in a different way. #ThoughtsOnGrief
- A little more fun seasonal art for #ArtAdventCalendar
- I like to ambush family members with random facts that poop up in my workday. My brother was not interested in knowing that the FDA changed the equivalency measure for dairy foods from the proposed document to the final rule. Even the dogs wander away while I'm talking. #ButWhy? #BoringFacts
- I am still oddly tickled by how well this watercolour fried egg turned out #ArtAdventCalendar
- Today's #ArtAdventCalendar entry. Just one that made me smile.
- I really liked how this painting turned out. I'd like to try more rainy window type images in future. #ArtAdventCalendar
- People often ask how close Detroit is to Windsor so I present this picture from the airport. The cluster off three tall buildings is the Renaissance Center in Detroit. Also, yes, it's very flat here.
- I always enjoy this unique experience of taking one of the world's shortest ferry rides. #islandAirport #BillyBishop #ferry
- Touching on some seasonal silliness for today's #ArtAdventCalendar item.
- A whimsical watercolour whale for today's #ArtAdventCalendar
- I just discovered a new hazard when working in a coffee shop: they often play songs I'm used to singing along with. #PeopleDoNotNeedToHearThat
- Jelly Bean Row. Acrylic #ArtAdventCalendar
- Today's #ArtAdventCalendar item is a snowy little squirrel I did for @skorralkeen.bsky.social
- Wonderful sunset last night over Belle River.
- Shopping at Christmas time has its own delights. I love seeing so many pretty things all displayed together, and when they're thoughtfully arranged it's so much better.
- Just back from the Mistletoe Market at the River's Edge event centre and it was fantastic. So many vendors with beautiful and fun things for sale and all in a gorgeous space. Worth checking out if you're in the Windsor area this weekend.
- Llama with a latte #ArtAdventCalendar
- Day four of the #ArtAdventCalendar is probably my favourite of the coffee house animals. The caffeine-dependent emu.

- Thank you! We all draw upon each other, I find
- This was my second in the animal coffee house series. Yep, doing these totally out of order. #ArtAdventCalendar
- My fourth coffee shop farm animal painting I think completes the set. This is Madge. She likes her little treats. #acrylic #painting #ArtAdventCalendar
- Jumping into the #ArtAdventCalendar with a little project to warm up the watercolor.
- Enzo bringing his a-game to the cute celebration that is Caturday.
- Gaming with cats is a whole thing.
- I have a wonderful nap time partner in Harry.
- I just realized today why Phoebe used Regina Phalanges as her alter ego name. "Queen Fingers" suits a masseuse and a guitarist. Did everyone else know this already? Am I super late to the party like when I didn't know the guy was Polkaroo until my teens? Or am I just overthinking the whole thing?
- Tonight's little drink is delightful. And well -supervised. Picked up this lime and yuzu soda at Junction 56 gin distillery in Stratford earlier this year.
- I believe it is traditional to begin a new account with a cat picture.
