- WRONG. Corruption does NOT require explicit quid pro quo. The Emoluments Clause does'nt even imply quid prop quo. It's not only about selling out the country, it's about personal enrichment via public office. That's still corruption. Terms DO matter, so learn them before you lecture.
- TODAY the NYT publishes an investigation into the Trump memecoin $TRUMP and how it has turned into a extraordinary venue for foreign influence campaigns. It is not corrupt to take an action that aligns with the interest of a person who gives you a gift, unless the official action was in direct response to that gift--a bribe. Terms matter. Accuracy and fairness matters. Regardless of what social media wants.
