Americans in general don’t realize the amount of trade, travel, information, etc that occurs between Canada and the US. It has just become so integrated and efficient that to doesn’t make the news.
Canadians not buying American or traveling to the US will start to be noticed.

As a Prep cook on the Oregon coast that relies on tourism, believe me, it's noticed. I haven't seen 1 Canadian license plate since that swine became President. And we definitely have lost alot of tourism business from other states as well. 1 day at a time now. 😕
Seattle here — we definitely notice the decline in Canadian visitors. We’re trying to do right by visiting Victoria/Vancouver for vacations this year — our own way of giving Trump the middle finger while respecting your sovereignty.
I think it's already being noticed. I believe we are seeing the effect of Canadians not buying KY Bourbon in the noticeable, recent change in rhetoric from Rand Paul.

Buying groceries today, I looked at a sack of oranges.
I noted it was a shame the oranges were USA (out loud) and put them back.
The lady near me turned around, grabbed her oranges from her buggy, and put them back too.
We're so pissed off, we'll pay more for fruit from Chile or Egypt instead, now.
We’ve had oranges from Morocco for the same reason.
The RV park in Tuscon that was the winter home for my parents until recently became a ghost town as soon as the 51st State crap was uttered from the orange stain's mouth. Scores of permanent units are for sale.

I have a home on the US side of the Canadian border. We rent out all seasons but for skiing at Jay Peak it’s the best. 5 minutes from Canada-15 from Jay.
