- The moment Yvette Cooper was picked to be Home Secretary I knew it was to build a narrative on immigration that would make Theresa May take pause
- I promise you, polician or activist who is considering complaining about not being able to march under a party political banner at pride, that you will get better PR for accepting the decision and marching anyway as a community member than you will trying to bully pride organisers into feeling bad
- The anti-immigration White Paper is a display, to me, that Starmer and his team are not simply incompetents drifting in the wind of public opinion. They, like the Tories, are choosing to shape public opinion - They are choosing to weaponise rhetoric and narrative to make immigrants the enemy.
- Starmer's "island of strangers" line tells me one thing. Keir Starmer is a racist.
- I honestly don't understand Labour Party Members anymore. Your leadership is inflicting suffering on disabled people, immigrants, refugees, the LGBTQ+ community. Your votes at conference are meaningless as your leaders simply ignore them. Candidates are chosen for you. What is the point?
- The SNP have a very easy path to indicate that they haven't simply abandoned trans people would be to put a relatively small amount of cash into trans healthcare to dramatically cut wait times
- Reposted by Tristan Grayford2 years ago today, my gender clinic approved me for bottom surgery. They didn’t send my referral for a year. The referrals service refused to backdate it until my MP intervened. Going by other people’s wait times, I’ve got 3 more years to go before I have surgery. But trans healthcare is rushed.
- A group of MSPs have decided, independently, to make the Scottish Parliament a hostile work environment for all trans people. This is an attempt to eradicate a demographic from working in Scottish politics. www.heraldscotland.com/news/2514895...
