- there's a bit in Graeber's "Bullshit Jobs" where he talks about how the right wants to dismantle education and the health care industry, because that is fueling what they perceive as the "elite power" of the coastal cities, and they want to change the power structure--and i keep thinking about that

- i think his point is that universities are a focal point of cultural power, so they want to dismantle them so that power can be shifted to the right in other ways.
