- As someone who has a close family member dealing with ALS, seeing this sort of tech is especially touching for me. Anything that makes the lives of the people inflicted with this nightmare better is truly important, meaningful, cherished work.

View full threadLovely thread - thank you for sharing. I totally agree. My grandfather is in early stages of ALS and it's frightening - things like this I can share and what is being shared is hope. And a vision of a genuine brighter future.
- As for tech - I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease quite young, & have had many complications and struggles, including nearly going blind. Right now I have a TENS unit on my hand & forearm to mitigate pain I'm always shocked by how behind we are in assistive technology. This stuff is critical
