At the 80th anniversary, it's sad to see how current politics influence how we look at the war and how it's being used to shape contemporary narratives.
History is complex, there are many truths, and one must accept and recognize that, especially at a time of remembrance.

The Molotov-Ribbentrop pact, the Soviet invasions of Poland, the Baltics, Bessarabia and the Winter War are among the many truths about the war, that we also must remember.
However, this doesn't cancel out what came afterwards.
