The indigenous people and the treaties are a federal concern, and Mark Carney does need to clarify this. Like stating unequivocally to Trump that Canada is not for sale, nor will it agree to being a 51st state, Carney must tell the premiers that the provinces, in whole, are not theirs to take.

The same rules used to trigger a separation referendum should be the same rules that apply to recalling the provincial government. Any petition to separate should be met with a petition to recall the gov't.
