yep, can report from 2025 that this problem is exponentially worse than it was even just a few years ago. I've just stopped replying to curator emails completely
In addition to steam curators often being a scam for free game keys, they frankly don't do anything for your game even when they're real. I just ignore the whole thing these days.
I feel bad for people trying to engage with the curator system as intended, because I know there are a few out there who are - but the whole system seems to be completely flooded with scammers now
I think it's interesting that curator reviews are hidden behind a click-to-reveal on steam pages these days. Not a great solution, but... telling.
to be clear I think this problem is probably fixable! I mean I don't know how, but surely someone smarter than me can figure it out
