This video reminded me about current discourse on TikTok about AO3 (Archive of our Own). The argument is the site algorithm with likes because they can't find fan fics they like or just want to find what's trending. Basically, they want to TikTokify the site because they can't be bothered to search.

You’re spot on. Just finishing watching your video. So many people want to be spoon fed. Case in point - a project I’m on where I literally gave my counterpart everything they need and they took days to figure things out versus 45 minutes. A fear for the stupidity of mankind.
