This isn’t exactly correct. 2 MMR doses are 97% effective at preventing infection- enough to drive measles out of circulation if enough ppl are vaccinated due to HERD immunity. But if herd immunity is broken, you still have a small chance of becoming infected if it’s circulating widely. So mask up

Herd immunity to Covid crumbled for two reasons: 1) waning efficacy of the vaccines; they have a durability problem 2) new variants. Once delta popped up and then omicron, our vaccines were too genetically distant to protect ppl well.

No, they were briefly good at preventing transmission! They just took very early data and ran with it, not realizing that the virus would mutate around this protectiveness incredibly quickly. But it did provide good protection for the first several months

No, but even here it says only 7 days and they were doing those trials with supportive measures like mask mandates etc in place. They also never trialed the vaccines with immunocompromised folks nor did they account for waning! Then they never tracked infection long term.
I think it's really important to note that they never actually had the data to support the claims that the vaccines prevented infection and (yes totally agree with you that they just lied). But none of the vaccines have ever induced any sort of sustained mucosal immunity to prevent infection
(I totally agree with you btw that by the spring and when Delta hit in early summer it was clear even to the public that heard immunity was impossible. But they should have never made those claims to begin with imo when they didn't have any real world data to back it up)
