I basically grew up in my grandma's plant nursery and I never even once drank from the hose. It's full of compost and weird algae and the water smelled like old duct tape. The petunias grew strong though. Some years, even too strong...

I never understood the pride from drinking out of a hose. I often think of how grateful I am that I have access to cups and the ability to not drink from a hose. Such a weird thing to hang your hat on.
