I used to make video game and tech content as a day job, from 2007 to 2020. Now I do QGIS stuff, Ignition SCADA things and water loss reduction shenanigans. I also write books that aren't very good. And I'm trying to make a game about a duck. Also, I run.

- Got a call about the internet being out a PC at a sewer plant. A PC with Windows 7. That's in the SCADA network. Lost internet. After a power outage. But it's connected to a UPS, so it didn't stop. SCADA devices don't have internet. The network is up. And the only W7 PC there is FactoryTalk.

- Me: This function in Ignition's expression is really neat, but I'd need the inverse of the result. It would sure be nice if I could just invert it and not have to map out the result and then use that mapping in another expression. Maybe something like adding ! at the start. Ignition: Try that.
