- I hope you’re not waiting for some clever defence of Starmer’s speech. As you know, I try to be fair and have praised him on foreign policy. I don’t think the White Paper is terrible, but ALL of the language surrounding it is inexcusable, insupportable, and indefensible. He can kiss my migrant butt.

- A strange and wonderful thing: EVERY ONE of the six Podyssey episodes is currently 'charting' on both Apple & Spotify. 1. Narcissus and 2. Orpheus re-entered this week and shot up. It's like whatever episode people discover the pod on, they then go back and listen from the start. What a compliment!

- A limited deal with the US (it will be v limited) is a credit to gov't and, combined with India deal/EU summit, a boost to confidence. As I said last month on Quiet Riot, the US ended up in a weird position of needing a deal with the UK more than we did. That moment will not repeat. Boxing v clever.
- First of three episodes getting reaction of Greens, Lib Dems, and Labour to local election results and a discussion of the way forward. Good to get proper time with someone who can explain Greens policies in detail. I found @zackpolanski.bsky.social to be clear, passionate, and personable.
