Steve Andrew
Graphic designer & digital artist @ Secret Mode | occasional comic artist | loves Star Wars, Doctor Who, Ghibli, soundtracks, comics, manga, Nordic noir | childfree | devoted to Luna, laziest cat in the world
- #Andor Such a satisfying ending to the best thing on TV in years. As close to perfect as #StarWars gets. Stick around for a musical gift in the end credits.
- The deadly white ninja cat, blending invisibly into her cozy environment. When will she strike? Nobody knows. #CatsOfBluesky
- I spent a huge amount of #Caturday with this chonk on my lap.
- Crimes against reindeer or by reindeer?

- I’m not a vexillologist my any means, but I’m interested in flags as a graphic designer. I find it fascinating to discover the meanings behind each stripe. Sometimes, as with the trans flag, if you squint your eyes it looks like a cool close-up of a red lightsaber against a blue sky. 🏳️⚧️
- Sadly, this is going to happen more in the current climate. Transphobes don’t care about protecting women, they never have.
- I see the EHRC, Bridget Phillipson and the Supreme Court are #MakingWomenSafe "I said: “Would you like to see my tits?” "I started unzipping my hoodie. He panicked: 'No no no, don’t do that!'"
- If anyone loves dogs and are in Leamington, Jephson Gardens, mid-Spring at about 9am is the place to be. Lots of well-behaved doggos and pupsters of all shapes and sizes going for their morning walks. (I’d love to get photos but it feels rude to ask.)

- Well #Andor is still an absolute masterpiece, but my god it is anxiety-inducing to watch!
- Gambling adverts on TV are a fucking plague. All utterly interchangeable and indistinguishable. If I ever have to design one, just take me out behind the barn and shoot me.
- I think there’s certainly something to this. I have nearly zero friends because I just don’t know many people. And although I’m getting better at talking to people, I don’t have much to say and I’m wary of sharing too much about myself out of fear of boring them.
- This viral tiktok made me think of a fantastic article by my friend @melaniehamlett.bsky.social “men have no friends & women bear the burden”
- I don’t want anyone to think I’m one of those cringe cat dads whose life is so empty I have to record every little activity of my pet. Anyway, here’s Luna having the time of her life in an awesome box. #CatsOfBluesky
- Short story: I had to dash home at lunch because I had a nagging feeling I had knocked over a lamp as I left the house earlier and burned the house down. I’m sure that says something about my weird brain but I don’t know what. Somebody took it as an excuse for an unscheduled snuggle. #CatsOfBluesky

- Beautiful!
- Spending May Day in bed with my latest haul from Warwick Books and the lovely Luna. ❤️ #CatsOfBluesky #Booksky
- Well tonight’s #DoctorWho was fantastic but pretty depressing. Pretty bleak.
- Reposted by Steve AndrewThis is Gunner. He is a big strong dog who happens to not be able to sleep until he's tucked into bed with two pillows and his Eeyore stuffy. 13/10
- My iPhone photos just showed me these memories of when mum’s previous dog Tilly stayed with us and spent a day at Vicky’s workplace. Tilly died a few years ago and I still miss her. Very grumpy but very funny little dog. #DogsOfBluesky
- The world may have turned to shit but new #Taskmaster is on, so it’s not all bad! 😀
- Those reform bastards are campaigning with open racism and homophobia in our area. Nothing to help anyone’s lives, just bigotry. They cannot be allowed in anywhere. #UKElections
- Gentileschi was such an incredible artist.
- Quite a few of us were in the office today and there was a lovely cathartic moment where several of us bonded over being #childfree. We don’t hate kids, we would just like to have public places where we can sometimes escape from them. And not have family members pestering us about it.
- Bluesky has a weird algorithm, but I can’t deny it’s been lovely seeing people’s #wisteria pics. Ours has only just started blossoming in the last week. And I’ve seen bees! #Bloomscrolling
- Hey, these are incredible! I can't believe we live in a world where new-series Target novels with the diamond logo are being published! My inner child is so happy. :D

- My god, that imperial officer in eps 2-3 of #Andor is a piece of shit. #CaptainObvious
- I can understand why Louis Theroux would want to do the more low-key celebrity interviews after that documentary that was on BBC2 last night. That looked depressing and exhausting.

- For those who complain about Ncuti Gatwa crying as the Doctor… Imagine you were Russell T Davies and you had cast an actor of Ncuti’s calibre and you knew he had the rare ability to cry on demand, you’d be crazy not to use that ability as much as possible, right? #DoctorWho
- Reposted by Steve Andrewit's independent bookstore day! and incidentally amazon has put on a book sale the same day, because they're undercutting scum! don't give them your money! support you local bookstore in person or use bookshop.org! maybe even buy My book! it's good! bookshop.org/p/books/hung...
- Just occasionally, Luna will wake up briefly, make a little meep sound, check her daddy is still here, and flop back to sleep. I love my little louche lazy cat. ❤️ #CatsOfBluesky
- Coming home from work the other day, I met my good friend the Big Black Fluff. Always happy to see me and delighted to have some belly rubs. (They really need a fur trim though - they have lots of little matts in there.) #CatsOfBluesky

- Best way to start a Sunday: breakfast in bed with Luna and a book about Studio #Ghibli. ❤️ #CatsOfBluesky
- It’s funny how for decades conservatives have been all for rugged individualism and “there is no such thing as society” but as soon as we do our own thing and the birth rate goes down they’re all “hAvE mOrE bAbIeS fOr ThE gOoD oF sOcIeTy!!!!”
- Well tonight’s #DoctorWho is precisely the reason why I never read episode synopses or previews ahead of broadcast. I knew nothing about this story and I absolutely loved it. Isn’t The Well one of the new batch of Target books?

- Vicky and I loved being in #Wales but it’s great to be back to our girl Luna. #CatsOfBluesky
- This is my favourite kind of tree, an old, gnarly, lichen-covered hawthorn in the middle of a field in #Wales. Looks like it’s fallen over, but the wind up here just forced it to grow that way. Loads of patches of wool show it to be a popular scratching spot for local sheep.
