Truly don't get the rationale of limiting Chris Hayes to four nights a week when ALL IN does much better than whatever MSNBC slots at 8 on Mondays. For instance, THE WEEKNIGHT fell to just 626K viewers, barely edging out ANDERSON COOPER (485K.) ALL IN usually does around 1M viewers.
It made some sense when MSNBC was trying to build a primetime habit for Jen Psaki with an eye on filling Maddow's slot at some point. Now, unless the move is because Hayes actually wants the time off (he is a dad of young kids), it's not good. Even if he wants it off, do guest hosts for All In.
I think it’s a work balance thing for him but it is a gaping hole.
