What would the point be of another Trump impeachment when he’s a lame duck and Rs won’t convict him?
Dems need an answer for the remnant of resistance people who are demanding impeachment but far more important for them to use normal Oversight powers effectively.

How is removing the insane criminal from office not a worthy goal on its own merits? Yes it makes Vance, someone no one likes, president but you cannot tell me he can cause as much mayhem as Trump without a unified base. Trump can do what he wants because people are afraid. No one fears Vance.
Because it wouldn’t work. Why run on something that won’t work?
You run on it to uphold the rule of law, norms, public trust and to show everyone else that someone actually will fight to avoid becoming Hungary 2.0.
Everything else is just continuing normalization of corruption and erosion of public trust.
