The future of the Democratic Party will not be shaped by think tanks, pollsters, ad makers, or consultants. It will be shaped by people literally running as Democrats over the next few years. That’s why rebuilding the party requires aggressive candidate recruitment for principled authentic leaders.
Agree if by fix you mean no more centrists yapping about bipartisanship. There is no center now and incremental change has been our undoing. We need to make dem candidates as terrified of their base as Republicans.
This is exactly the opposite of what’s needed! Trump won in 2016 by significantly *moderating* the usual Republican position on Social Security and Medicare, and in 2024 in part because no one believes he’s anti-abortion
And you're telling me this after the attack on the Capitol and the recent coup that you want people willing to work with them? We shouldn't be employing them buying from them renting or selling to them. They should be ostracized as nazis
I think I was responding more to “fuck all centrists” than the question of bipartisanship. We need democrat candidates with heterodox views appropriate for their districts, not people who endorse every single left wing position out of fear of the “base”
Gen X voted for Trump overwhelming. They should sit this out.
Sure just tell an entire age bracket to fuck right off that’s a surefire way to win elections
It's what they told us when they overwhelmingly voted for Trump I'm saying that perspective is flawed. That age bracket is Trump territory.
Feb 18, 2025 17:54I see the they lost the entire youth vote over scrapping BBB and then Gaza. Another unforced error.
I see you are a change the goal posts type of debater and just ignore the fact that it was the economy that sunk Harris with young voters. Have a nice day.
