- A cool shot of a very busy Zyabrovka air base on April 26, 1964, captured by a KH-7 GAMBIT spy satellite.
- Back to it after completely switching off for a long weekend. I noticed this interesting group of (what I assume to be) vehicles at Arzni Airport in Armenia. Any ideas what could be going on here? Taken by a KH-7 GAMBIT on 1964-04-25: soar.earth/maps/134078?...
- This has now evolved into a QGIS plugin and with a few more features. I might publicly release it once I feel completely happy with it 🤓
- One of the new additions to the collection at www.spacefromspace.com/declassified... Kyiv, Ukraine on August 11, 1984 by a KH-9 HEXAGON spy satellite.

- Another great example of using declassified spy satellite images! Makes me so happy to see this!
- Over the weekend I quietly launched a redesign of the gallery pages on spacefromspace.com along with now having over 400 georeferenced declassified spy satellite images on the site for anyone to access!
- If you or anyone you know is interested in history, satellite imagery analysis and storytelling, feel free to reach out to me as I'm interested in gathering one or two people who could write for spacefromspace.com!
- "It's incredibly disheartening seeing commercial imagery providers raising their minimum AOI order sizes. I simply cannot afford to pay $250USD or more for an image... If you start to see less up to date (optical) satellite imagery from me this is why.
- A new very high resolution satellite image of Launch Complex 39A taken on April 26 shows further stages of construction underway all around the launch pad.
- How many insights can you gather from a single @umbra.space image? - A Starship launch mount appears to being dismantled near Hangar M. - Relativity Space is constructing a large integration hangar at LC-16. - Stoke Space continues foundation work at LC-14, including preps to run propellant lines.
- Given that today's the anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster, I thought I'd share some KH-9 images of the power plant under various phases on construction. 1 - January 1974 2 - May 1979 3 - January 1984

- The magical red dots 🌈
- Processing declassified satellite images of Vietnam from the 60s and 70s while watching/listening to documentaries about the war. Learning lots. Images 1 & 2: A heavily cratered Quảng Trị in March 1973. Images 3 & 4: Haiphong in September 1966.

- 59 years ago today (April 21, 1966), the 27th KH-7 GAMBIT spy satellite captured these two images of Sary Shagan, Kazakhstan. The two images below show the airbase with dozens of aircraft parked on the apron. Image 1: spacefromspace.com/declassified... Image 2: spacefromspace.com/declassified...
- A partially cloudy Rome captured by a KH-7 GAMBIT spy satellite on March 14, 1964. spacefromspace.com/declassified...

- I think I got it locked in! Such a massive time saver. Example: In 5min the script can do what QGIS can take an hour to do! And full disclaimer, I did use ChatGPT for this as I have no prior coding experience.
- I've recently been trying to learn GDAL scripting to speed up my workflow. Safe to say it's causing me many many headaches but hopefully once I get it all worked out, things will become much more efficient. More efficiency = more georeferenced images for everyone, hopefully.
- The latest image on my site shows evidence of bombing craters during the Vietnam War. The location shown is about 16km west of Kon Tum: soar.earth/maps/133798?... If you look around the area, many more locations like this exist. I'm working on adding more images from the Vietnam War to the archive.

- To continue this journey, an even newer scan of an image taken on Sept 22, 1982, two months after the one below. I'll process the entire image and make it available on my site within the next day or two.
