- It might be the fact that I JUST got out of the dentist's office, and half my face is numb, but reading this Aftermath comment, after IGN readers called my Yakuza layoff piece self centered (?), just about made me tear up.
- ISAIAH. Oh my god this is a fucking banger of a piece it's so so beautiful.
- I'd been stewing this for a WHILE. I never got to write a going-away piece for Kotaku, and I never got to unpack how the layoff broke me. I'm probably gonna be raw forever about it, but writing this piece helped me get some closure about how I've been feeling about *waves arms around*
