- Yes! it also diminished my baseline level of anxiety/stress and improved my sleep significantly. All around it’s improved my life! For anyone starting out, happy to share resources/plans. Start slow, with small weights, don’t make it so gruelling that you never want to do it again :)

- Thanks! It’s something I came up with but I was looking at stone carvings of Sphinxes for reference, also memories of Elden Ring seeped into this I think.
- Are other illustrators feeling disenchanted with digital artwork? The haze of AI has infected my perception of it and I’m charmed by the imperfections and amateur look of handmade things (especially in professional contexts). But I probably had this bias to begin with
- I’m working on a few picture books and I’m hand wringing about doing the final art with ink/watercolour but I have a lot of fear about revisions and the wildly variable quality of my drawing skill. It’s already such an undertaking and adding stress for a romantic notion feels unwise

- When I look at books at a store, I can see the dominance of procreate and how it affects and flattens the visual possibilities of picture books, although this is partially an art direction problem. Its like the illustrators voice is being lost or obscured by the digital medium.
