- 🔥 Holy smokes, that was fast.
- Bolt + Netlify just hit 1M AI-generated sites in 5 months. AI code → 1-click deploy → live site. No infra headaches. Just shipping. Bolt.new www.netlify.com/blog/why-net...
- 👀 Learned a new trick from @philippeserhal.com that I probably should have known for years. $0 is an alias for the currently selected element in Chrome. 🤯

- Toying around with spinning up a weekly livestream to investigate the flood of new products we're seeing. I want to be knowledgeable about these things, how they can be used, and how they differ from one another, but I haven't found the time. This seems like a solid forcing function.
- I'm very late to the game, but where has @getclockwise.bsky.social been all my (working) life?

- Update: The bracket that used the simulator is currently in third place in the family pool.

- Wooops! My AI friend got confused and didn't set up the bracket correctly. Pushed a few updates and used it for a very random bracket. We'll see what happens. 🤞
- A few years ago, @schickling.dev told me "local-first is the future of development." And I was like "Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm gonna go build this SaaS thing." Now that I'm starting to really dig into the details as I explore a little PoC ... 🤯 It's so different, but I'm loving the paradigm.
- My partner once won our family March Madness pool by choosing *which mascot is cuter as a baby*. IOW knowledge of the game, the league, or provided "analysis" may not really help. What might help is this little simulator I spun up that makes weighted, random guesses and gives you the results.
- I do this almost every day. Get up an hour or two before the rest of the family. Walk the kids to school. Extend the walk. Make breakfast and coffee. Start my work day. On days when I feel the pressure to spend the quiet hour or two on "work work" I feel the diff in my soul by the end of the day.
- This is big news! Super excited to be partnering with both @astro.build and @tanstack.com! 💥 I'm in my early days of TanStack, but already loving what I'm seeing, and for totally different reasons than I love Astro.
- Netlify is now the official deployment partner for @tanstack.com apps! 🎉 💥 TanStack has a refreshing take on building dynamic web applications, and already has ~100k stars across its toolkit repos, on pace with early versions of Next and Astro! 🚀 Start building with TanStack on Netlify today!
- Love what Eduardo put together for the Netlify docs. This is critical information to understand for folks building dynamic applications with our primitives (like advanced caching). This helps ensure you're delivering content to your users as fast as possible.
- You can now visualise the full @netlify.com request chain on our documentation. An interactive diagram shows you every feature and primitive involved with processing requests for your site, in what order and under which conditions. ✨ docs.netlify.com/platform/req...
- I've had far too long of a lull in publishing to my website. Kicking off a new era with a bit of research in looking back on my blogging history.

- I haven't actively worked on a Rails application in almost 10 years, though I still support a few. I still enjoy the random request to go in and pull some data or figure out how something is working. Reminds me how much I love writing Ruby code and how much I hate managing the servers running it.

- Added another 5 photos to the @unsplash.com profile. Not an overly stunning collection this time, but this is my personal favorite of this group.
- During Q&A with @domitri.us at TheJam.Dev yesterday, he noted context being so important with AI. Particularly if you don't have a tech stack and tooling set in mind, you need to do that research first and separately (w/ or w/out AI). And then prompt your generator with very specific instructions.
- TheJam.Dev 2025 from @cfedev.bsky.social continues today with another star-studded cast! Here's a starter pack for all the speakers at this year's event. See you there!at://did:plc:3ihgbc4dfmcczfx4rz5wg7p5/app.bsky.graph.starterpack/3lim4y57pec2s

- Folks, TheJam.Dev is (FREE and) happening tomorrow and Thursday! I'll be back co-hosting with @remotesynthesis.com. We have some absolute legends from the community on stage with us tomorrow — @henrihelvetica.bsky.social, @domitri.us, @raymondcamden.com, @rachelandrew.bsky.social, and so many more!
- 👀 Was just postulating on how I’d recommend choosing a lib or framework to replace CRA. Going to check out CTA.
- 📣 Time to announce "create-tsrouter-app" or CTA, a drop-in CRA replacement: - Powered by @vite.dev, TanStack Router, built by @jherr.dev - TypeScript/Tailwind/File-Route templates (more coming) - Full control over Vite and (soon) upgradeable to TanStack Start www.youtube.com/watch?v=10J6...
- Anyone have a Bluesky starter pack for dev community conferences? (Or a good way to track and keep up on dev events?) Thinking this would be a great way to track upcoming events without needing to maintain a database of events, which is notoriously difficult to do.
- CRA served the community well for years. 🪦 RIP, old friend. I used it for so many demos and examples over the years. But time changes things. The React team's focus has shifted, and we now have other tooling that makes working with React easy, depending on the scenario.
- Today, we’re deprecating Create React App for new apps, and encouraging existing apps to migrate to a framework. We’re also providing docs for when a framework isn’t a good fit for your project, or you prefer to start by building a framework. react.dev/blog/2025/02...
