- Company: good news we updated our software!!! Company: we changed the interface!!! Also, the core features no longer function!!!
- At my company our users and our product owners make UI and UX people cry, because no matter how bad the existing horror created by a programmer is, change is actually worse. Our customers don't want to use our software, they want to do their jobs.
- Least worst for us is usually a new version of something in parallel. Customers like "better". They just need it on their schedule. Understanding that change is bad User eXperience helps.
- No, I don't gotta to hand it to them.
- High Fructose Corn Syrup, in the instance this morning. But in general.

- Lessons from first aid/incidence response: If no one is in charge yet, you are until you find someone more qualified. Finding them is part of your job now. Be explicit. Don't ask "can someone", point and say "you, call 911".
- Me: The Pope gets a coat of arms? I wonder if it’s passed down to his children. My brain: …let’s try that one again, shall we.
- The controversial color is ‘buff’. It’s a tincture that’s occasionally used in place of a metal. It’s uncommon but not unheard of. Much ado about nothing. #heraldry
- Technically possible, if unlikely. Widowers can be ordained. This sort of rules lawyering is why I got handed to the CCD class run by a Jesuit.
