- It would also be great for the Democratic Party to do some leading here as well. Again, I know it could never happen. But I keep dreaming. ;-)
- They did try to work together 30 years ago, via the New Century Network project which included the country's major newspaper publishers to start, and was expanding to include broadcast journalism as well. DoJ crippled it and finally killed it with anti-trust threats.
- By "major newspaper publishers" do you mean the publishers of the New York Times and Wall Steet Journal? Were they involved?
