- As web performance metrics go, I find LCP often fails to reflect even dramatic improvements in rendering speed and content availability. A change may make the bulk of page content ready to use in half the time yet not change LCP at all! Leaves me wishing web vitals better captured perceived perf
- I miss the days, not long ago, when popular excitement in web design & dev was centered around the craft and clever patterns that highlight their accessibility, resilience, and performance. Automation and magical artifacts always had attention and a business case. They aren't what brought me here.
