I know Great Barrington well and it is extremely hard to imagine any scenario on this earth in this small town that would require cops to roll out like they're going to war.

I knew a lot of cops from the 70's and 80's and they always talked about swat cops with derision. Tough guys playing soldier. Always inventing reasons to use violence to solve problems.
