- Like the fact that Ben was like “We HAVE to live here bc we don’t have cars so we have to walk” as if Chicago doesn’t have one of the 2 best public transit systems in the country.
- i kind of don’t see when Tim Onion and Kat Abu had a window where it wouldn’t have seemed really awkward to disclose their relationship most obvious point was when she declared she was running and that would have stepped on the announcement I think

Its an unforced error that could have been handled with a statement like “Ben and Kat are both new in the roles as CEO and candidate, and didn’t think about the fact that voters and readers expect a higher standard of transparency. They’ll do better going forward.”
- It’s not even a full post. Instead they went the route of “CMO has minor melt down, Ben awkwardly defends his $50k/year apartment” and had a second day of dealing with the story.
- I didn’t really care and mostly thought it was an unforced error, and then the Cmo decided to use my exceedingly mild “I think the people who don’t care about this in this instance would if they didn’t already like them” comment as the jumping off point for her not quite meltdown.
- The place I came to regarding the CMO is that she has never handled any sort of crisis comms in her career and was unprepared for even a mild one.

- The weirdest thing about all of it l was that she chose to kick it off in a condescending reply to my comment that was not even really critical of Tim and Cat. I am a nobody with >400 followers and I was being much nicer about them than anyone in the thread.
- I don't care that Ben Collins and Kat Abu are dating, I care that donor-created astroturf candidates think they can just fly into a district and act like they have some right to represent it when they don't even go there
