What are the odds of China invading Taiwan as part of their trade was response?
None. They're building a coalition with all major powers that are done with the US (EU, Canada, Australia, etc.). Attacking Taiwan would jeopardize all of that. That's one of the positive things about the orange clown you Moronicans elected for a 2nd time: He united the whole world against the US.
Good point but we have never been weaker. If PRC ever wanted to make a move on Taiwan now is the time to do a hard reset of the world economic order. I didn’t vote for him for what it’s worth.
For what it's worth, this means that, unless the US triggers it (which I wouldn't put past Diaper Don, but hopefully Congress will then wake up and read the Constitution), there will be no WWIII. That's the one positive geopolitical conclusion I took out of Trump's historically moronic move.
My side bet is Trump allows PRC to take Taiwan in exchange for a “Huuuge Deal” on tariffs and/or to prevent China from dumping or ceasing the purchase of Treasuries. Trying to look at this from the Dotard’s perspective is a challenge but all seem to be in the realm of the absurdly possible.
I considered this. This will not happen. Because Trump is a deep-seated, incurable, colossal moron. And China knows it. Any move favoring Trump is a BAD move. He is the literal BRAND of BAD. That's why they decided to side with the EU.
