Before folks overreact to headlines about the judge’s ruling in the Khalil case, please note that (1) it was an immigration judge (IJ), not a federal district court; and (2) the IJ had no power to consider Khalil’s constitutional objections.
This particular decision was a fait accompli.
The problem is that Marco Rubio is an anti-semite. Khalil speaks for many Jewish people in opposing Israeli war crimes. By deporting him on this basis he is violating our Free speech as Jewish Americans.
This is the pure irony of all these fascist actions being done in the name of curbing "antisemitism."
- It conflates the actual definition of what a "semite" is in the first place.
- It assumes all people of the Jewish faith intrinsically support Netanyahu or the modern state of Israel.
Apr 12, 2025 17:37I strongly feel that some people in Trump's orbit (Miller, etc.) want Netanyahu to achieve his "Greater Israel" goals with the intent of eventually turning around and "deporting" all American Jews to it once he does.
