If you were putting together a music festival, what would your theme be?
Mine would be dad rock. Roughly 70s bands on Friday, 80s on Saturday, 90s on Sunday, based on prime catalog, rather than formation. Headliners like Steely Dan, Hall & Oates, Dave Matthews Band, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

As I said elsewhere, top 40 was made to be ignored. I don't think it's been all that relevant since the 60s and 70s. Even less so now that we have streaming services that allow us to program our playlist.
Marketing doesn't make art relevant. It just gets it to a bigger audience... makes more money.
