- Walking through a remote part of the woods and spotted this striking soldier fly hopping leaf to leaf. I believe it’s Actina viridis. I’d never seen anything like it before, so distinct and unmistakable. #Diptera #Stratiomyidae 🪲🪳 #Invert #entomology 🌿
