- I keep saying it but Trump v Anderson is going to be a top 5 anti-canon one day. I know no one agrees, I don’t care.May 11, 2025 16:08
- They should have interpreted the constitution and saved the country from this and they didn’t. It’s a shame.
- Not sure about top 5, but no doubt it's an impressively lousily reasoned opinion.
- I’m continuously stunned that no one in Congress is trying to fix that abomination.
- For those of us that aren’t lawyers, which one is the T vs Anderson case?
- +1 - I've been saying this since the decision! I think more people agree than you might think... bsky.app/profile/thew...
- @leahlitman.bsky.social says she expects the Supreme Court to rule against the Trump administration in the birthright citizenship case, but we shouldn't "give them a ton of credit." "I don't think we should forget how they actually cleared the way for Donald Trump to become president."
- Yes. Not just wrong, but egregiously wrong when it was decided.
- Nah, you're clearly right. We're living with those consequences.
- I had to look up what that was tbh but 100%, that one was clearly a political decision that contradicted the law & I could not understand why the liberal justices went along with it
- If they didn't want to let the states decide (understandable, although constitutionally wrong IMO), they should have decided themselves. They couldn't bring themselves to say that he was eligible for the office because they knew he wasn't.
- that garbage decision being unanimous 100% contributed to the Nihilism that got Trump elected
