Sorry ladies; I'm taken.
- My mother was a horrible mother, is a horrible person, believes in the craziest and most vile conspiracy theories, and is arrogantly proud of her own ignorance. I'll be calling her in a bit to wish her a happy Mother's Day.
- I see that we're burning a writer at the stake this weekend for saying that dogs are not children. Cool, cool.
- India seems to be mobilizing. AND they've cancelled their cricket games. This could be big.
- Generative AI is only useful for tasks that have to be done, but which don't need to be done well, or even correctly.
- Have we declared war on the sea and collected seashells as tribute yet?
- We have nearly forgotten that sometimes school shootings are done by the government. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxl9...
- "Sleepwalk," as if it's an accident.
- I should be vacuuming, but Chaos the Cat is napping in a sunbeam in the middle of the living room floor and I don't want to disturb him.
- The USSR attacked 6 different countries* in 1939 and 1940, while allied with Nazi Germany, and never did give back the land that it took. (*Poland, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Romania.)
- Give 'em hell, Canadians. #Don'tFuckThisUp
- I keep seeing people saying, "You can't deport a citizen," which is so stupid on many levels. For one, yes, that is an appropriate verb. The root meaning is literally to carry off. We usually call deporting a citizen from their country 'exile.' 👇
