If we exist for God’s glory, then beauty has moral authority.
- Thank you, Mom. Well done!
- “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2).
- A daily prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, I belong to you, To you only, To you fully, To you gladly. Your will be done. In your holy name. Amen.
- Tiny flowers rejoicing. Tall grass dancing. Distant trees approving. In it all, the goodness of God.

- Today, right now, the risen Christ is not tired. And He is not tired of you. Or of me. There is hope today, right now, for you, for me, in Him.
- The resurrection of Jesus means, for starters:
- God knows pain, betrayal, rejection. And He rose up from it all. Which means that, through Him, hope gets the final say in this trainwreck world.
- God rejoices over His glorious creation. And so do we. Thank you, Father. Your works delight us!
- A gift to a wee boy far away. Delightful.
- A book for anyone who isn’t sitting on top of the world, anyone who’s wondering if God has forsaken them, anyone wondering if they can still have a future worth reaching for.
- Morning light, quiet hymns, theological study. Grateful!
- Nixi wishes you a sparkling day!
- No one is helped by getting yelled at, shamed, belittled. We are helped, even healed, by hope. It’s why I wrote this book.
- The Christian path:
- Our dog Nixi brings her own adorably dopey presence into our home. We love her for it. You love your dog too. Such gifts, right?
- What I discovered at rock bottom: Jesus is there. The best people in all the world are there. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
- In this world of madness, here I find green pastures and still waters. Here I can think more deeply. Here I know I belong. Grateful!
- Good News at Rock Bottom. An honest book for broken hearts. Now shipping from Amazon.
- A simple, clarifying, stabilizing, strengthening prayer for every day: I give my life to Christ. To Christ only. To Christ fully. To Christ gladly. Amen.
- That tiny figure on the cover, shoulders slumped, alone, down at rock bottom — inevitably, that’s me, that’s you. And Jesus meets us *there* as never before. Not with a pep talk, but with his amazing grace. He is why, and you and I are why, I wrote this book. Enjoy!
- “Pursue love” (1 Cor 14:1). Christianity is more than this. But it is never less.
- A recommendation. Hope it helps.
- J. I. Packer, a continual inspiration to me. Grateful.
- The best way to start the day:
- Good News at Rock Bottom is for all of us. We all know pain. Official launch one month from today. Thanks for your interest. God bless.
- As the Roman Empire was falling apart, the early Christians were not wringing their hands and moaning, “What’s the world coming to?” They were rejoicing and declaring, “Look Who has come into the world!”

- So grateful for her, for them, for you all, for Him. I am a rich man.
- Wisdom for writers from one of the best:
- My Valentine. So grateful!
- This I believe. Here I stand. By God’s grace, for his glory.
- In a world that trivializes us, a world of merciless online slanders, a world that might smirk when we die, how differently God feels! “But you, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head” (Psalm 3:3). He values us. Let His heart settle the question of our worth!
- I love this! youtu.be/DfW2mkkMTAg?...
- So grateful to receive my new book: “Good News at Rock Bottom: Finding God When the Pain Goes Deep and Hope Seems Lost.” I hope it encourages you!
- “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you” (Isaiah 43:2). Our no-nonsense Savior. An utter realist, a strong hope.
- How not to freak out as our world falls apart: draw near to God (Psalm 27). A strategy so surprising, even implausible. You literally have to be a Christian to be crazy enough to live this way. Fine. Sign me up!
- Beth is a hero and a sage.
- “My soul finds rest in God alone” (Psalm 62:1). Counterintuitive. God seems distant, unhelpful; the strategies for coping we create in this world seem plausible, obvious. Then two surprises: 1 Our self-invented beliefs let us down. 2 God draws near. Now we have something to offer this world.
