- The Fed didn't use the word "stagflation", but that's what it's warning about. Never a good moment when your central bank says that it's worried about *both* higher unemployment and higher inflation. That's a problem that monetary policy alone can't solve.

View full threadI was a teenager-to-young-adult through the "historical curiosity." A friend's father was out of work for two years. I lost a co-op job in college in'82--10.8% unemployment-- and had to piece together 3 part-time jobs to make up for it. My first car loan was 14%.
- There was constant talk about "we're in a recession." Although recessions began and ended it felt like 70-85 was just one long recessions with periodic breaks. It was a shit time. It's insane to even think about going back to that.
- WIN: We just won a court order preventing the Trump Administration from dismantling the federal agencies that support public libraries, museums, and minority-owned businesses while we continue on with our lawsuit. I'm not letting any attacks on our cultural institutions go unchecked.

- It's not just that hand-picked district judges in single-judge divisions in Texas and Louisiana *regularly* entered nationwide injunctions against Biden policies; it's that many of those injunctions were subsequently thrown out by *this* Supreme Court. People have awfully short memories.
- The short memories are the reason Trump was reelected.
