I am a spiritual being having a human experience.
Gen Alpha. I get to work with kids and when I hear the conversations they have with each other about everything from the climate crisis to what they would do if ICE comes into the building, it makes me hopeful. A lot of people tease these kids, but their critical thinking skills are strong.
A few things:
- The growth my students made this year
- My nieces and nephews
- My Beit Din and dip in the mikvah this coming Sunday
- My cat
- Knowing that next school year I get to see all my favorite fifth graders from this year AND my favorite fourth graders from last year
